Camp Knutson Volunteer Covid Guidelines for Summer 2023

This summer, we are thrilled that all our camp partners will be hosting their camps on site! We are also excited to welcome volunteers in many different areas around camp. While we can’t wait to have more campers at Camp K once more, we remain diligent about maintaining the health and safety of our campers, volunteers and staff. Extra precautions could be in place by certain camp protocols to protect the well-being of everyone who comes to camp. Please read below and watch this video in order to best understand the expectations.

Prior to coming to camp:

1.       If you are sick or have been feeling ill recently, please do not come to Camp Knutson.
2. If you have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for Covid 19 within the past 5 days, please do not come to camp.
3. Due to the nature and health of our campers we are serving, we are working closely with each partner camp group to determine Covid-19 protocols based on the week of camp.
4. If you are working with the campers during the specific weeks listed below, please take a rapid Covid Test at home or when you arrive on camp. Test must be taken within 36 hours of volunteer activity. Camp Knutson will have tests available for pick up.
5. SPECIFIC TESTING WEEKS:
June 21 – 25
July 10 THROUGH August 4

When arriving at camp:

1.       When you arrive at Camp Knutson, please check in outside of Pauly’s Place (office building).
2.       If you are working with certain designated camps and their campers and did not take an antigen test at home, please begin taking a test. If you are not working with campers (gardening/maintenance) you do not need to test.
3.       Please read through the guidelines and Covid19 Release on the board.  
4.       Sign-in on the sign in sheet located in the binder on the table outside of Pauly’s place. Also by signing in, you are agreeing to the Covid19 Release stated on the bulletin board and tested negative for Covid-19 (if working with campers).

While at camp:

1.       While there is no universal masking policy for summer 2023, Camp Knutson staff reserve the right to ask you to wear a mask in specific circumstances.
2.       If you need to use a bathroom, please use the bathroom at the Garage or in the front of Pauly’s.

Volunteer Testing Policy

Camp Knutson has been working closely with all of our partner organizations to ensure we have healthy measures in practice for the summer of 2023.
