Mission Statement: Our mission is to support Camp Knutson through acts of service, including camp programs, fund raising, and camp maintenance.
We are a local group of woman and men who volunteer our time in a variety of ways.
The Camp K organization offers many great opportunities for volunteers to work with campers on crafts, jewelry making, beading, sailing, reading, and much more. In addition to the service work, the organization offers time to meet new and old friends and be creative in our work within the organization.
The Camp Knutson Volunteers also sponsored two very successful fundraising events during Summer 2013:
1. “Night Under the Stars”, a fabulous gourmet dinner with a silent and live auction. Volunteers raised over $75,000, with a match of $50,000 added for the camp, which was used to purchase items on the Camp's need/wish list, which included a new Ford Van for the camper's transportation. We're already working on the 2014 "Night Under the Stars", which will be held on Saturday, July 19th.
2. The fourth annual "Taste Luncheon", was held September 12th, 2013 at the Crosslake Lutheran Church. Those attending received a cookbook and tasted all of the recipes included. Total dollars raised for 2013 was nearly $7000. Proceeds from the event help support campers. The fifth annual taste luncheon will be held September 18, 2014.
