Camp Knutson VolunteersMission Statement: Our mission is to support Camp Knutson through acts of service, including camp programs, fund raising, and camp maintenance.
We are a local group of woman and men who volunteer our time in a variety of ways. Here are a few examples:The Camp Knutson Volunteers sponsored two very successful fundraising events during Summer 2012: 1. “Night Under the Stars”, a fabulous gourmet dinner with a silent and live auction. Volunteers raised over $72,000 for the camp, which was used to purchase items on the Camp's need/wish list, which included a new Larson Ski boat and lift. We're already working on the 2013 "Night Under the Stars", which will be held on Saturday, July 20th. 2. The third annual "Taste Luncheon", was held September 13th, 2012 at the Crosslake Lutheran Church. Those attending received a cookbook and tasted all of the recipes included. Totals are still pending for 2012, but in 2011, over $7800 was raised for Camp Knutson. Proceeds from the event help support campers. The fourth annual taste luncheon will be held in September 12, 2013. The Camp K organization also offers many great opportunities for volunteers to work with campers on crafts, jewelry making, sailing, reading, and much more. In addition to the service work, the organization offers time to meet new and old friends and be creative in our work within the organization.
